  2. A seminar which promotes an understanding of cultural values and assumptions of "mainstream" North Americans as opposed to those of new immigrants and ethnic groups. The seminar answers some of thse questions:
    •  How do these differing values often become barriers for effective cross-cultural ministry?
    • How do agents of outreach remove these barriers?

  3. Reaching out to Generations of Asian Americans
  4. This topic is handled in seminar or workshop form. It lays the groundwork for understanding the different sub-groups amoung Asian Americans, which parallels those among Hispanics and African immigrants. It deals with the basis upon which we target groups for sharing the Gospel.

  5. Asian American Ministry Awareness
  6. A seminar which aims to provide information about what is going on in North America among Lutherans who are involved in Asian American ministry and outreach.
    • How many people from Asia are unreached?
    • unchurched?
    • What are the recent breakthroughs?
    • What are some of the demographic information reguarding this ministry?
    • How can I be involved?

    (Seminar time 1.5 hours)
     

  7. Building Bridges into Asian American Communities
  8. A workshop, which involves participants in brainstorming ideas about laying the groundwork for sharing the Gospel with ethnic and immigrant communities.
    • How do we build relationships in these areas?
    • How do we develop programming appropriate and effective for adding entry points aimed at these groups?

    (Workshop time 2.5 hours)
     

  9. Top Tens about Cross Cultural & Multi Cultural Ministries
  10. A seminar meant for those who have at least an adequate amount of experience in cross-cultural, ethnic-specific, and or multi-cultural ministry. This seminar is meant to challenge, provoke and raise the cross-cultural quotient of the participants.
    • What are the barriers that we are faced with most often in cross-cultural ministry?
    • What are some recent learnings about multi-ethnic and multi-cultural ministry?
